更滑稽的說法是a spare tire around his waist（腰間有備胎），比較好一點的說法是bulging waistline（腰線突起）。
This man has a beer belly（名詞）──a beer-bellied man （形容詞），同理He has a long face — a long-faced man，這樣改的好處是省字，請看下例：
The man has a beer belly, and he loves dancing.
The beer- bellied man loves dancing.
